Halfway

I know.  What is a blog post without picures, right?

Yesterday: Navel orange and grapefruit sections.

Today: Salad with lettuce from the garden, adding our mint; Roasted honey gold potatoes with olive oil, kosher salt, freshly ground pepper, and our rosemary. 

Anyone eat anything local recently?

  1. I'm so impressed with your diligence, Sara! So, fairly often I think, "Man, I really should try Sara's challenge and eat more local foods." But I haven't explored the area terribly much and honestly hadn't put much effort into it. Then the other day it occurred to me that we had been eating homemade applesauce from apples that we picked from an orchard out behind our house. We also purchased cheese from a local farm recently. We're not there yet, but a few good steps that I was so happy to be able to report :)
